A Canggu Trip Budget: Work Through a Three-Night Stay for Two

A single “Bali trip cost” is not very useful when flights, room count and dining plans vary. This example is for two people sharing one bungalow for three nights. Flights are separate.

Start with accommodation

Villa Rumah Wayan’s published base rate starts at IDR 900,000 per bungalow per night for up to two guests. Three nights gives a base calculation of IDR 2,700,000. Breakfast is not included. Check extra beds, additional units and stay-length conditions in the booking form, then confirm the final quote with staff.

Add your own spending allowances

The food and transport figures below are illustrative budget choices, not claims about market prices.

• Accommodation: IDR 900,000 × 3 = IDR 2,700,000.
• Food and cafes: assume IDR 600,000 per day for both guests × 4 = IDR 2,400,000.
• Airport and local transport: set aside IDR 1,000,000 provisionally.
• Subtotal: IDR 6,100,000. Add a 10% contingency: IDR 6,710,000.

That is IDR 3,355,000 each in this example. Do not count a shared car twice or multiply an already shared room cost by the number of guests.

What is excluded?

Add flights, applicable visa and levy costs, insurance, data, shopping, activities and any reserved beach-club seating. Decide whether the meal allowance includes alcohol. Replace placeholders with actual quotes as you book.

Convert currencies last
